Aitkin City Council meeting from August 15th
(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin City Council meeting from Monday, August 15th covered the Roof Contract for the Aitkin Police Station, and discussions on the City Park Cameras and the Creamery Parking Lot from the Community Room of the Aitkin Public Library.
The Council did approve a USDA Credit Application Letter, a Letter of Support for Special Session to State Legislators, and a Services Agreement with Davey Resource Group.
Erik Haapajoki on behalf of CTC spoke before the Council on the City’s struggles with cameras at the City Park and they plan to remedy the situation.
Haapajoki also made no promises on the timeline of installation but did say all is being done to get the cameras in the near future.
City Administrator Mike Skribch presented to the Council on approving the commercial roofing project of the Aitkin Police station.
the contract was approved by the Council with the timeline to getting the roof repaired this Fall. Council member Leeann Moriarity recapped the events of the Economic Development Authority meeting on the need for funding for the downtown Creamery Parking Lot project.
The Aitkin City Council will next meet on Monday, September 5th at 6pm from the Community Room of the Aitkin Public Library.
