Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting from January 24th

t the Aitkin County Board of Commissioners regular meeting Tuesday, a donation to the Sentence to Serve program was approved.  Kevin Lee of North Memorial Ambulance spoke about staffing concerns:

The board approved a letter of support.

HR Director Bobbie Danielson gave recommendations to increase one job and change one position to a full-time position, which were both approved.

County Administrator Jessica Seibert presented to the Board a resolution to request State funds for updates to the Health and Human Services Building.

The Aitkin County Board will next meet on  February 14th at 9am from the Government Center Board Room.

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners held their regular meeting from the Government Center Board Room on Tuesday.

The Board approved the appointment of Don Niemi (nee-mee) to the East Central Regional Library Board for a three-year term.

The Board also approved the reconstruction of CSAH 11and approved awarding the contract to KGM Contractors.

Economic Development Coordinator Mark Jeffers presented another Community Grant award request of $5,000 to ALANO, (which was approved). The Board also approved the beginning of the Business Development & Recreation Grant Program.

County Administrator Jessica Seibert presented to the Board on a resolution to request State funds for updates to the Aitkin County Fairgrounds.

 The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners is next scheduled to meet on February 14th at 9am from the Government Center Board Room.
