Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District Native Plant & Tree Sales

(Aitkin, MN) — Closing out the month of April and looking forward to May has the Aitkin County Soil and Water Conservation District getting the materials together for the annual Native Plants and Trees distribution at the Aitkin County Fairgrounds.

We chatted with Aitkin County SWCD Manager Steve Hughes about the choice of plants, trees, and shrubs that reflect the natural landscape of Aitkin County.

With order being filled for the year, Hughes mentioned that one choice in one tree saw less interest this year than previously.

The plan for pickup at the Aitkin County Fairgrounds is May 11-13, which is dependent on orders being filled by the nursery and the weather.
