Aitkin Health and Human Services meeting with Board of Commissioners from August 23rd

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Health and Human Services Department presented their monthly updates with the Board of Commissioners Tuesday morning from the Government Center Board Room.

The meeting started with Aitkin County CARE Executive Director Lynne Jacobs with the awarding of BRIC Grant Funding.

Through many initiatives that are a part of BRIC in Aitkin County, Hannah Colby of HHS Public Health spoke about the grant funding being able to assist the Aitkin Farmer’s Market.

HHS Director Cynthia Bennett, following an overview of a Year-To-Date Snapshot, which did address Child Care Provider needs.

The Aitkin County Health and Human Services Department will meet with the Board of Commissioners next on Tuesday, September 27th beginning at 9am from the Government Center Board Room.
