Aitkin HS Principal Paul Karelis talks schedule changes, search for new Band Director at March 21st School Board meeting

(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin High School Principal Paul Karelis spoke before the School Board this past week on some upcoming changes and future plans for the coming school year including building updates and schedule.

Karelis first updated the Board of the retirement of longtime Band director Chris Halvorson and the search for a new band director.

The High School schedule will also have some adjustments with a longer study hall period around lunch time for the 2022-23 school year.

Karelis also noted the effort of Rippleside Elementary Principal Andy Dokken, the High School Counseling team to come up with solutions to the scheduling conflicts to create more opportunities for the students.
