(Aitkin, MN) — The summer has been busy for numerous reasons for the Aitkin Police Department with keeping the streets clear for a large influx of events and activity.

In our monthly conversation with Aitkin Police Chief Paul Ryan, we spoke about the recent Geardaddies show in July that drew a large crowd in the downtown corridor.

With a large crowd, Chief Ryan had to commend the event organizers on keeping the event in control with little-to-no incidents occurring.

Chief Ryan also noted the traffic that comes with these events bring with people from near and far.

Aitkin Police Chief Paul Ryan also spoke about DWI concerns this summer, pedestrian safety, and returning to school bus safety with the full conversation being available on the Wake The Lakes page at rjbroadcasting.com.
