An Alumni Joins in Celebrating 40 years of Fort Frances High School Theatre

On Ed Gackley’s Oh Canada Show on April 23rd, he had Ken Kellar from the Fort Frances Times newspaper as a guest. Ken is an alum at Fort Frances High School who has been involved with the theatre program for a while through his work with the newspaper. And he was very excited to talk about 40th Anniversary show being performed this year: We Will Rock You.

When are showtimes this week? And what could he tell us about ticket prices and about anything special being done to celebrate those 40 years?

Ken Kellar then shares a little about the show itself as well as some of the history of its making.

He continued to praise the cast in their preparation, and especially with the music which can always be a huge undertaking with Queen’s music being no exception.

You also can’t forget the technical side of theatre.

He also mentions a few cast members, some of them you might recognize from Augie’s interview prior to the performances, like Piper Lipkea, Liam Dent, and Mackenzie McClain. Fun Fact: Bruce Lipkea, Piper’s father, was in the very first performance at FFHS 40 years ago.
