Area Drought Update
Many Counties across the state continue to suffer from extreme drought conditions. On September 7 the U.S Drought Monitor updated their drought conditions and Cass, Hubbard, and Wadena Counties all received D3 classification which is described as an extreme drought. Parts of Beltrami County, and Itasca County also received D3 Classifications.
Other area counties also received D2 drought classification including Becker, Clearwater, Kittson, Beltrami, Otter Tail, Marshall, Pembina (ND) and parts of Pennington, Walsh (ND) and Polk County.
