Barnesville Potato Days

Barnesville is gearing up for its 31st annual Potato Days festival Friday and Saturday.  Potato Days will have a new executive director this year, with Jeff Swenson succeeding Theresa Olson.  Swenson says he has a few new ideas for this year’s Potato Days.

There will also be traditional favorites, like the potato peeling contest, a free French fry feed Friday night starting at 7–or until the fries run out, and the mashed potato eating contest.  Swenson says the Nick Manston Memorial Strong Man Competition will start Saturday at 12:30 behind the main stage.

And there’s the Potato Days Parade Saturday night starting at 5:30.
