Beware of Political Scams 

It’s an election year, and that means that everybody’s phones will be lit up with political organizations asking for donations, and support for their candidates. While there’s nothing wrong with donating to a political campaign, Clearbrook Gonvick Police Chief Ryan Solee reminds you to be cautious of who you’re donating to, because it could be a scam. 

If you believe you have been a victim of a scam contact your personal bank, or credit right away, and reach out to local law enforcement so that they can warn others. The State of Minnesota also encourages you to  contact the MN Attorney General’s Office as they may be able to help you personally.
