City of Fosston Applying For Owner Occupied Rehab Grant; Advertising For Additional Full Time Police Officer; Puts 2022 Utility Improvements On Hold

During this month’s meeting, Fosston City Council approved contracting with Northwest Minnesota Multi-County HRA on a small cities owner occupied rehab grant request. According to City Administrator Cassie Heide if the grant is approved, homeowners could use it to replace windows, siding, roofs, accessibility, heating, air conditioning and other rehabilitation.

The City Council approved advertising for an additional full time patrol officer. Once hired the Fosston Police Department will have 4 full time officers which includes the Police Chief. They also have one part time officer.

During their February meeting, Fosston City Council put their 2022 Street and Utility Improvement project on hold.
