(Pierz, MN) — The City of Pierz approved transfer of funds and approved a contract for a school resource officer during their regular Council meeting from Monday night.
In our update with Mayor Dave Fischer, the City of Pierz denied approval of a building structure permit.
The City did approve a contract with the Pierz School District for a school resource officer that will start the 2022-23 school year.
That contract will be up for annual renewal with a one-time payment of $7,000 a year. Funds were also transferred to other accounts used for City projects.
In the Police Department Report, a new officer will be starting before the end of the summer.
The Pierz Park Complex Extension, according to Mayor Fischer, is trending in the right direction.
