Cooking Demonstration, Live Music at Itasca County Fair
Stephanie Kessler will demonstrate her cooking expertise on Friday, August 19 at 3:30 pm at the Itasca County Fair. The demo will be by the Trailhead building and feature one of her favorite recipes with a few samples to be had. Stephanie has her own show on ICTV every week which includes her down home humor, suggestions for altering a recipe to suit yourself, and warnings about cooking issues for those recipes that need a “heads up” or “watchful eye”.
CALEIGH, a female band, will perform on Sunday afternoon at the Itasca County Fair in the gazebo. The band features (l to right) Dee Furfaro playing percussion, guitar, bass, and doing vocals; Lenore Siems playing mandolin, violin, and viola; and April Larson on harp, banjo, accordian, guitar, keyboard, and vocals as well. The name CALEIGH is Gaelic meaning “musical gathering”. The band has recorded 5 albums on the Lily Label; toured Minnesota playing fairs, and festivals, and made an appearance at the famous Butler House in Aitkin. They also were featured in South Dakota at Mount Rushmore, a house concert in Custer, and an arts festival in Rapids City.
