CRMC, Red Cross Blood Drive was a success

(Crosby, MN) — Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and the American Red Cross’ recent blood drive to replenish the local blood supply was a success on many levels.

31 units of blood were donated at Heartwood Senior Living with each unit being able to save up to 3 lives.

According to the Red Cross, every 2 seconds someone in the United States needs blood. The Red Cross relies on community partners to help ensure a sufficient blood supply for patients. About 80 percent of blood donations made to the Red Cross are through blood drives set up by community organizations, groups, and businesses.
