Darcie’s Dancers Taking the Stage May 4th and 5th
I had the honor of interviewing Darcie Schultz and three of her dancers here in the studio and I’ll let the girls introduce themselves.
So what are some things to look forward to for the recital? And does it have a theme?
This past weekend, they had a dance competition and this is what they had to say about how they did.
Taylor, Ava, and Reyna had rather similar answers when talking about their favorite part of dance.
This shared love for dance is something they also wish to carry on after high school.
The dancers were then asked the hardest, and then the easiest part about dance.
So what’s the driving force to continue to dance?
The interview then went into some of their favorite styles of dance, and that brought up tap dancing which will be one of the numbers performed at the recital. It will be to the song Anything Goes from the Broadway musical of the same name.
Darcie makes sure to explain what the different levels of rewards are at dance contests.
And speaking of music, what were some of their favorites?
Darcie also shares some wishes for support from those planning to attend this weekend’s shows.
They were then asked about encouragements for those interested in either dancing or coaching in dance.
And how is the dance team grouped?
The dancers were then asked about parents and how involved they usually are.
So, what time are these shows on May 4-5? And are there any other shows after them?
And after those performances they’ll then look ahead to Nationals!
So be sure to head over to Backus on Saturday or Sunday May 4th and 5th.
