Dekko Foundation Awards Gary Pines $4,000 Donation During Visit to Norman County
Ada, MN — The Dekko Foundation celebrated their 40th anniversary this week by visiting the communities and projects they’ve supported in Norman County, and also gave one of those projects a nice boost to continue their support for future development. The Gary Pines, located one mile north of Gary, was surprised with a $4,000 donation from the Dekko Foundation as one of their top 10 favorite projects in the past 40 years, according to Dekko Communications Officers Barry Rochford.
The Dekko Foundation is based out of Indiana and supports the communities that their founder, Chester Dekko, had business or personal interests in, which include various counties in Alabama, Indiana Iowa and Minnesota. Rochford says they very much enjoyed their time visiting with area nonprofits and community leaders in Norman County, the hometown of Mr. Dekko.
