Dekko Foundation Hosting Open House at Ada Events Center Tuesday
Ada, MN — The Dekko Foundation is celebrating their 40th anniversary by making the rounds in the communities that they serve. Staff from the Dekko Foundation will be hosting an open house today (Tuesday) from 4-6pm at the Ada Events Center where they hope to get reacquainted with the community members and organizations they’ve assisted in the past and meet new ones that they hope to work with in the future, according to Dekko Foundation Vice President of Programs Jenna Ott.
The Dekko Foundation was founded by Ada native Chester Dekko in 1981 with a goal of investing in non-profits and youth-serving organizations that support children in building knowledge, skills and character so that they can be self-sufficient and grow up to produce more than they consume. With the Dekko Community Center being most notable example, Ott says the Dekko Foundation has had a large role in many Norman County projects.
Ott encourages Norman County community members and non-profits to attend their open house today to learn more about the foundation and the goals for the foundation moving forward.
