Fertile City Council News & Notes from November 14th Meeting
Fertile, MN — The Fertile City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, November 14th. At the meeting the council discussed a quote to better insulate the city public works shop. City Clerk Stacey Erickson says they only had one quote and there was potential for a conflict of interest, so they will be attempting to get more quotes to avoid any issues.
With winter weather already showing up, there was also discussion about snow removal downtown during the Public Works report as well.
The City of Fertile purchased a used ice surfacing machine for their new ice rink a few years ago, but Erickson notes that its not getting utilized as much as they thought it would, so there was discussion this week about selling it.
And the sledding hill is already being utilized as well, but Erickson notes that they could use some more donations of various sleds to add to their sled library.
