Fosston School Board Meeting – August 2023

On August 21st ISD 601 held their monthly board meeting. Superintendent Todd Selk was in studio to give an update on the meeting notes and information for the approaching new school year.

Starting a school year fully staffed is an exciting way to start out the school year. With the fiscal year for the school just beginning July 1st there was not a lot to report, however Selk and the rest of the school board wanted to take the time to publicly thank local donors for their support.

Other items on the agenda included approval of milk, bread, fuel and snow removal bids. Travel for the FFA National Convention was approved as well. Next Tuesday staff with be in the building preparing for the school year. Wednesday will be the Open House for Students from 4-6:30 with the school year officially starting Tuesday September 5th. Selk highlights the personnel portion of the meeting and the tenure approvals. The next meeting is scheduled for September 18th at 7:00 pm a the High School Conference Room.
