Fosston, MN — The Fosston School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Thursday night, October 27th.  At the meeting the board reviewed their annual audit from the previous year. Fosston Superintendent Todd Selk reports that not only is the district in good financial shape, but there were also no errors or area of concern in their finances.

Under personnel items, the Fosston School Board agreed to hire a new Buildings and Grounds Director James Manecke to replace the retiring Neil Heide.

The board also accepted the retirement of paraprofessional Melissa Hemberger.

It was announced that staff at the Fosston School District will now have the opportunity to purchase a life insurance policy at a very affordable rate, according to Superintendent Selk.

And some good news for Fosston 6th graders as Selk reports that the 6th Grade class trip is heading back to the twin cities.

It was also reported that enrollment is up in the district by about 20 students compared to last spring.
