GFWC Hosting Candidate Forum Tonight for Mahnomen County & School Board Candidates

Mahnomen, MN — Learn more about the Mahnomen County and Mahnomen School Board candidates on the ballot for this fall’s election during the GFWC Candidate Forum Thursday night at 6:30pm at the Mahnomen School. Sue Kraft with the GFWC Library Club says voters will hear from candidates for County Commission District 2 and District 4, Mahnomen County Sheriff, and a highly contested Mahnomen School Board race with 9 candidates vying for 3 spots.

The 9 Mahnomen School Board candidates include Tasha Bellanger, Ashley Ness, Randi Niggle, Nicole Ose, Zak Ose, Christopher Otto, Rae Ann Smith, Todd Steinmetz, and Traci Turner.

Candidates will each be given 3 minutes to speak, followed by a brief Q & A session. Participants will have an opportunity to submit questions beforehand as well, but questions may not be specific to any one candidate.

Doors open at 6:15 for the candidate forum, which will take place in the Roy Johnston Room of the Mahnomen School. Please use the south entrance of the school.
