Halstad City Council News & Notes from February 7th Meeting
Halstad, MN — The Halstad City Council held their regular monthly meeting last week on February 7th. At the meeting, the council passed a resolution approving TIF Forgiveness of the former Dr. Joys Dental Clinic by the Halstad Telephone Company. Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson says they appreciate their willingness to do that and help out the city.
The council also approved an offer from the Valley General Store to purchase some chairs and tables for the old school building.
Mayor Johnson adds that they continue to have conversations with alumni and community members about potential uses for the former high school as well.
And Johnson reminds community members from Halstad and surrounding area that there is a community meeting this Saturday, February 19th at 2pm and next Wednesday, February 23rd at 7pm at the LRC regarding the potential expansion of rural water in western Norman, Polk, and Clay Counties.
The Halstad City Council also discussed their Sheriff Contract and approved their Pay Equity report.
