HOV Recreational Foundation Winter Social is this Saturday at the Ada Events Center
Ada, MN — The Heart of the Valley Golf Course and their Recreational Foundation invite all community members to their 25th Annual Winter Social this Saturday, January 28th at the Ada Events Center. Doors open at 5pm with the prime rib being served at 7pm. Formerly known as the Golf Banquet, the HOV Winter Social originally started as a fundraiser to rebuild the course after the 97 Flood and has since evolved into a fun night out for golfers and non-golfers alike, according to HOV Manager Mike Burke.
The prime rib meal will once again be catered by Erickson’s Smokehouse in Fertile. Along with the meal, Burke says there will be games, raffles, and numerous silent auction items up for bid.
Proceeds from the HOV Winter Social will help support the current remodel taking place at the clubhouse, along with the HOV Recreational Foundation. The foundation provides free golf for youth and aims to increase youth participation in the sport.
Whether you are a golfer or not, Burke adds that the golf course is an important part of the community and the support they get tends to reflect on that.
Tickets for this Saturday’s 25th Annual Winter Social are $50 each and included in that is a chance to win a Family Membership to the 2023 Season at the Heart of the Valley Golf Course. Tickets will be available at the door or by contacting Mike Burke at 218-784-8330.
