KC Pro West Youth Snowmobile Racing Coming to Ada
Ada, MN — A large group of young thrill seekers will be traveling to Ada this weekend for a stop on the KC Pro West Snowmobile Racing circuit. Youth as young as four will be racing on a shortened cross country style track just south of Ada this Saturday and Sunday, January 14th and 15th. The KC Pro West series is a non-profit volunteer run organization that provides youth a chance to gain some skills in the sport of snowmobile racing. Paul Bergman of Ada, a racing parent of two young riders, says this is the first time the series has come to Ada.
There are more than a dozen different classes that youth can compete in, from bone stock to highly modified machines. Bergman notes that the series is very welcoming of first-time competitors if there is someone out there looking to give it a shot.
Around 50 different riders are expected to compete in the various classes at this weekend’s race in Ada, which is the 3rd scheduled stop in the series. Bergman says it’s great to see the kids out there having fun and learning valuable skills.
Racing starts at 10am both days. Spectators are welcome. For more rules and information, visit www.kcprowest.net.
