Koochiching Public Health hosting Flu Shot Clinics
The Koochiching County Public Health will be holding weekly flu shot clinics on every Thursday in October in light of the season influenza illnesses.
Linnea Imhof of the Koochiching County Public Health came into the studio to firstly inform us on what the Flu is and how can we recognize its symptoms.
She also informed us on the groups that are in greatest risk and the need of the Flu vaccine.
And how can someone differentiate the Flu from a common cold, as it is also cold season.
Plenty of people also share a fear that one may get influenza from the vaccine, and Linnea Imhof makes sure to address those fears.
She also gives advice on ways for people to avoid both the spreading, and the catching of the Flu.
Then, she was asked about another virus that still lingers: COVID-19.
Linnea also addresses the confusion towards the COVID-19 Booster vaccines, and whether or not people still need to get those updated COVID-19 vaccines.
So where can people get more information for any other questions they might have?
Linnea finishes with reminding us of the Flu shot clinics the Koochiching County Public Health will be holding locally.
Remember to stay healthy, and wash your hands.
