LBF Spring Sports Preview: Softball

The Vikings Softball season is hopeful to start on Tuesday, April 9th as they take on Northome/Kelliher. I had the opportunity to talk to Coach Betsy Brocaw along with a couple of her team captains about this upcoming season.

And the team will be entering the season with a very young squad as captains Kora Gustafson and Lydia Heppner had the following to say.

Julianna Holte, a senior had this to say about the small senior class.

So what was the team working on in the practices leading up to the season opener?

I had then asked Coach Brocaw how she came to be the head coach.

Then, they were asked about takeaways from last year that are goals for this year.

And when asked about a game they’re looking forward to their answers were unanimous.

Finally, I had asked Coach Brocaw about any up-and-coming players she’s excited to see this year.
