Mahnomen City Council Approves Annual Levy
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen City Council held their final regular monthly meeting of the 2022 year on Monday night, December 19th. As part of that the council held their annual truth-in taxation public hearing and approved the 2023 levy and budget. Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Vonderharr says they approved a levy increase of 10% to help offset upcoming capital projects.
The Mahnomen City Council also renewed their contract with their lobbyist, who Vonderharr says plays a crucial role in helping to secure funding for the city from the legislature.
And Vonderharr reported at the meeting that she is currently working with Arvig in hopes of bringing Fiber internet throughout the city.
The Mahnomen City Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month.
