Mahnomen School Board Approves Levy & Holds World’s Best Workforce Presentation
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, December 12th where they approved their final levy and held their annual World’s Best Workforce presentation. With the finalizing of their tax levy for the 2023 calendar year, Mahnomen Superintendent Jeff Bisek says their tax impact will actually go down for district residents.
The school board was also presented with the annual World’s Best Workforce Report, which is a recent requirement of the state to help them set educational goals and meet the needs of the students. Bisek notes that they were successful in some areas and have work to do in others.
Bisek also notes that some of the World’s Best Workforce results should be taken with a grain of salt because of the impact from the COVID-19 shutdowns.
And Superintendent Bisek reminds students and parents that it is December in Minnesota, and students need to come dressed to school as such.
The Mahnomen School Board also set a date of Monday, January 9th for their reorganizational meeting.
