Mahnomen School Board Looks at Early Start to 2023-24 School Year
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, February 13th. At the meeting the board discussed next year’s school calendar and a possible early start to the school year. Mahnomen Superintendent Jeff Bisek says they may want to get a jump start on a construction project next summer, which would require starting the year before labor day.
The school board also continued discussions about their graduation requirement policy and adjusting that to match the requirements of the state.
And the Mahnomen School Board approved an increase in pay for their substitute Special Education instructors, according to Superintendent Bisek.
The board also approved a temporary easement for the City of Mahnomen, who is planning a sidewalk replacement project.
Next month’s Mahnomen School Board meeting has been moved to Friday, March 17th.
