Mentor Farmers Market Is Open For the Season
Mentor Farmers Market is open for the season. Now in their 14th year, Mentor Farmers’ Market is open Saturday’s from 8 am until noon in the school yard of the historic Mentor Public schools. They had a terrific opening day on Saturday, May 28th thanks to the support of the surrounding communities and participating vendors. They have several new vendors this year including Benbo Sisters Candles, Red Barn 94, Bagles by Domnika, Broken Hinge Farm and Frozen North Hemp. They invite you to stop by and check out their products. Chuck and Barb Schulstad have been involved in the market since the spring of 2008 when it first opened. While it’s too early for garden produce, they have many products that will peak your interest.
In addition to food items, the Mentor Farmers Market is well known for it’s entertainment as well.
Next Saturday, June 4th, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office will have their K9 unit in the center circle at the market. The Market hours are each Saturday from 8 AM to Noon. Barnyard Bites Food Truck from Fertile will be in the park for breakfast and lunch orders most Saturdays.
