MSBA Proclaims this Week at School Board Appreciation Week

Twin Valley, MN — The Minnesota School Boards Association has set February 21-25 as Minnesota School Board Recognition Week to build awareness and understanding of the vital function elected school board members play in our society. The Norman County East and Ulen-Hitterdal School Districts are joining other public school districts from across the state to celebrate School Board Recognition Week to honor local board members for their commitment to the community’s they serve and its students.

During last week’s board meeting, Norman County East Superintendent Rob Nudell recognized the NCE board members for their willingness to serve.

Serving on the Norman County East School Board is Ross Opsahl, Jason Douville, Sarah Kjono, Tina Lecy, Terri Pazdernik, and Jon Anderson.

Ulen-Hitterdal Interim Superintendent Todd Cameron also wanted to show his support for their board. He says being a school board member requires a lot of selfless dedication.

Cameron adds that school boards have a lot of tough decisions to make, and the Ulen-Hitterdal School Board is committed to making the decisions with the children’s best interest in mind.

Serving on the Ulen-Hitterdal School Board is Mindy Bakke, Bob Klemetson, Nolan Braseth, Jennie Wibe Bjerke, Kathleen Evenson, Donna Jacob, and Laura Tweten.
