National Parks Week: Voyageurs National Park Offers Unique Remoteness for Visitors
International Falls, MN — Some of the most desirable getaways across the US come in the form of our National Park system. Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Glacier, Great Smoky Mountains, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park are just a few of the more than 400 National Parks we are celebrating and highlighting this week as part of National Parks Week. On the R & J Outdoors Show this week, we highlighted Voyageurs National Park near International Falls, MN. Perhaps what makes Voyageurs National Park so unique, according to Park Ranger Erik Ditzler, is that most of it is only accessible by water and all the campsites are remote.
For those not up for a canoe trip but still want to explore, Ditzler says Voyageurs National Park offers boat tours to provider visitors a glimpse of the park.
Wildlife such as moose, wolves, and bald eagles also are regular sightings at Voyageurs National Park as well.
As part of National Parks Weeks, Parks across the country are hosting special program, events, and digital experiences. Entrance fees are also waived through April 24th to encourage everyone to get out an enjoy their national parks.
