New Home School Community Coming to Fosston

Fosston, MN — A new home school community will be coming to the Fosston area this fall. Allison Opdahl will be the directing the community, called Big Sky Fellowship, and is modeling the program after a similar one her family currently attends in Grand Forks. Opdahl says she wanted to be able to provide a quality home school education to families in the Fosston community.

The Big Sky Fellowship will come together at the New Journey Church once a week, 24 weeks a year and will offer curriculum programs for children age 4 through 12. Opdahl says they teach what they call Classical Education, which uses different methods of learning than traditional schools.

Because there is some investment involved for parents, Opdahl says they will be hosting a fundraiser on Friday, May 13^th in McIntosh to raise money and introduce themselves to the community.
