Non-competitive 1-mile, 5K hikes part of Northland Arb’s Arbor Day Celebration

(Brainerd, MN) — As part of the numerous activities for the Northland Arboretum’s Arbor Day Celebration, individuals and families can get some exercise at a non-competitive 1-mile and 5K hikes on April 30th.

The easy hikes through the Arb’s natural beauty will begin at 10am. Prizes will be awarded to the best individual, group, and dog costumes, and largest group. Register in advance at www.northlandarb.org and receive a free T-Shirt. 

After the hike, the Arb will have more activities, presentations, a tree planting ceremony, and demonstrations from 11am-1pm. There will also be a bouncy house, face painting, silent auction, live music, and refreshments.Those attending will receive a free commemorative bag, a tree seedling, and can enter a drawing to win a kayak.
