Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, August 15th. Like all area districts, the board had some discussions about staffing as they look to fill a few positions ahead of the new school year. Norman County East Superintendent Rob Nudell says they are eagerly looking to hire a music and Spanish teacher, along with paras and substitutes, but are working on suitable solutions if they cannot fill those positions.

The board also approved the annual policies and handbooks for the upcoming year. Superintendent Nudell notes there weren’t many major changes, but they did address cell phone usage, which was something of a concern for teaching staff.

And the board approved a slight adjustment to the graduation requirements in regards to career courses.

Students are starting to return to the campus this week with practices and teachers will be back in the building soon as well. Nudell says everything is gearing up for back to school.

The Norman County East School Board also approved hiring Tammy Lindell as a volleyball coach, hiring Kain Schow and Nick Hanson as E-Sports Advisors, and hiring Rachel Anderson as a RTI teacher.
