Mayville, ND — The Traill County Economic Development Commission is excited to bring recruiting and retention expert Rikka Brandon for a keynote address to local employers next month. Rikka, a graduate of MayPort-CG and Mayville State, will provide a fast paced and fun keynote address on how local businesses can change how they think about recruiting and retention, according to Jim Murphy of the Traill County EDC.

Brandon will share easy-to-implement strategies and tactics to help you get the attention of your ideal hires, get more qualified applicants, and avoid bad hires. You will laugh, learn, and leave feeling empowered to find and hire the people you need to grow your business.

Murphy adds that employers have found themselves in an incredibly challenging situation this past couple of years when it comes to finding employees and this keynote could help give them an edge when it comes to recruitment.

And because employees are so hard to come by these days, Murphy notes that retention has now become every bit as important as recruitment.

Rikka Brandon will give her keynote presentation at 1pm on Wednesday, September 7th at Mayville State University.

A limited number of copies of Rikka’s book – “Hire Power: Everything Entrepreneurs Need to Know to Hire Awesome People” – will be available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
