Old School Artists Retreat Center Expanding Local Art Opportunities
Lengby, MN — An old school house in Lengby, MN is getting a second chance at life thanks to a local art teacher. Over the past 30 years, Fosston High School Art Teacher Mike McColl has been transforming the historic school into a destination for arts education and community growth called the Old School Artist Center. McColl talks about how he acquired the building and what he hopes to accomplish with it.
McColl has a number of fun and unique classes and events planned for this winter and spring. For example, this past weekend they hosted a Superbowl Widow-Bob Ross Painting Party. Coming up there will be opportunities to work with stained glass, coffee and canvas parties, leatherworking, kids art camps, and more.
