Party on the Prairie at the NCHS Festival of Trees
Ada, MN — The Norman County Historical Society’s Festival of Trees returns next week to the Log Museum in Ada and will continue through December 11th. There are roughly 30 uniquely decorated Christmas trees on display put together by area businesses and organizations. Historical Society Director Solveig Kitchell says the history of this event dates back to a single red tree and evolved into an extravagant holiday display.
The Norman County Historical Society debuts the display during their Party on the Prairie on Friday, December 2nd. Kitchell says the Party on the Prairie offers a fun night out with wine tasting, live music, food, and more.
Tickets for the Party on the Prairie are $25 and only 100 will be sold. Funds raised from the event will go towards their Climate Controlled Storage Building project.
And it wouldn’t be right if the Historical Society didn’t have their own historically themed tree on display as well during the Festival of Trees.
The Festival of Trees will be open to the public for viewing on December 3rd and 10th from 10am until 5pm and December 4th and 11th from 1pm until 5pm. Treats, live music, bake sale, and more will all be available. Admission is just $5.
