Planned Power Outage in Fosston

There will be a planned power outage taking place on Thursday October 22nd in the city of Fosston from 1am-4am overnight/early morning of Thursday. Minnkota Power Cooperative will be completing substation upgrades and maintenance that require the outage and they expect the work to be completed within the three hour window.

The city wanted to give businesses an advance notice as well as anyone else the overnight outage may affect so people can prepare for any equipment or operations failures that may come as a result.

Temporary stop signs will be placed at Highway 2 and Johnson Avenue which will turn the intersection into a 4 way stop during the temporary outage for anyone who may be out during that late night/early morning time window.
