Plea deal withdrawn in Anders Odegaard murder case
On Tuesday, August 15 Marshall County Judge Corey Harbott withdrew the Alford plea in the Anders Odegaard murder case. The Alford plea was withdrawn by Judge Harbott after he learned that the family of the victim Carissa Odegaard was not notified of the plea agreement which is required by law in Minnesota.
Odegaard is accused of the murder his ex wife Carissa Odegaard that happened back in August of 2022. A psychological exam was ordered on Odegaard on Friday, August 11 which means that no further hearing can happen until the exam is complete. Odegaard was scheduled to be sentenced on August 15 but that has since been delayed.
