Youth Deer Hunt Deadline

The deadline for Rydell National Wildlife Refuge is soon approaching. Rydell National Wildlife Refuge annually hosts a special Mentored Youth Deer Hunt for kids ages 12-15. A maximum of 15 youth will be allowed to participate. Youth will be required to hunt with a parent, guardian, or mentor.

Up to 3 deer may be harvested on the refuge; however only 1 may be antlered. Youth must apply NO LATER than August 18th as well as attend an orientation training at Rydell on Sunday, October 22nd from 10:00-1:00.
