Polk County Sheriff Asks Motorists to Take Travel Advisories Serious

February 11, 2022 News -- KRJB-KRJM-KKCQ 0

Fosston, MN — As we deal with difficult travel throughout parts of the region again here today, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office is reminding motorists to follow traffic advisories and warnings put out by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and other agencies. Sheriff Jim Tadman says when they issue a No Travel Advisory, it’s because their officers who are out driving the roads, can no longer safely do so.

Sheriff Tadman adds that most motorists this year have been good at heading to the No Travel Advisories, but there have been instances where they have been overconfident or fail to take into effect conditions further down the road.
