R & J Johnson Farms Providing On-Farm Education to Moorhead Elementary Students

Glyndon, MN — At R & J Johnson Farms near Glyndon, they’re no stranger to bringing guests to the farm to promote agriculture. In fact, they even hosted former Vice President Mike Pence back in May of 2019. But this Thursday, they are continuing a tradition of bringing elementary students from Moorhead onto the farm to learn more about farming and get up close and personal with the equipment, according to Ray Johnson of R & J Johnson Farms.

Johnson hopes this field trip may hopefully inspire the students into a future career in the ag field, or at the very least provide a better understanding and appreciation of where their food comes from.

Johnson, a member of the Clay County Farm Bureau, says it’s been a great partnership and thanks the Moorhead Elementary School for the opportunity.
