Rydell Wildlife Refuge cancels Mentored Youth Hunt opportunities available at Glacial Ridge 

The Mentored Youth Hunt has been a staple at Rydell National Wildlife Refuge for over two decades, but after some changes over the years in the Minnesota Youth Deer Hunt Rydell was forced to make some changes to their programming this year. Refuge manager Gregg Knutsen says that Rydell will not be hosting a Youth Hunt this year, and he explains why. 

The news isn’t all bad however, as Knutsen says this opens the opportunity for his team to promote Glacial Ridge Refuge, and the excellent hunting opportunities they have to offer. 

The Minnesota Youth Firearms Deer Season runs statewide fromThursday, October 17, through Sunday, October 20. Participant numbers are not limited and there is no special permit required.
