Sawyer Owens Crowned State Class B Wrestling Champ

Hillsboro-Central Valley sophomore Sawyer Owens won the 133 pound individual championship with a 5-3 decision win over Alvy Henderson on Friday night. Owens won his first individual championship after going runner-up in his freshman season. He says he learned from that experience.

Owens finishes 49-6 overall on the season.

Hillsboro-Central Valley also had the following wrestlers place in the individual tournament:

114 pounds – Justin Torroll, 7th place

127 pounds – Carson Kozojed, 7th place

189 pounds – Brayden Chenault, 7th place
