Senator Mark Johnson Comments on Overturning of Roe vs Wade
Minnesota — The Supreme Court on Friday sparked controversy with the official overturning of Roe vs Wade, which will very likely lead to the banning of abortions in about the half of the states in US. State Senator Mark Johnson says to understand why the Supreme Court overturned the landmark Roe vs Wade ruling, you have to go back to the original court case.
The announcement of the overturning of Roe vs Wade sparked outrage and protests over the weekend. However, Senator Johnson says this doesn’t mean it bans abortions altogether, but instead hands the power back to the states to make that decision.
The case was leaked to the public about a month before the actual ruling came out. Johnson, who admits it is a bit of conspiracy, believes that may have been a distraction from a number of the other issues Americans are facing, such as high gas prices and the downturn of the economy.
With abortion rights now back on the state, abortions continue to remain legal in the State of Minnesota.
