Shelly Days

SHELLY, MN—There was a parade and lots more Saturday during Shelly Days in Shelly.  One of the big events was the “Water Wars,” pitting the fire departments from Shelly, Halstad and Hendrum.  Hendrum was this year’s winner, which pleased Hendrum Fire Chief Mike Smart.

Shelly Days also featured lawnmower races, bingo, a cash raffle and gun raffle, a pulled pork dinner and street dance and karaoke on Saturday. Then on Sunday, there was a community worship service at 11am at the City Park, followed by lunch from Noon to 2pm.
