SonRise Church in Ada Launching Preschool Program this Fall
Ada, MN — A new preschool offering will be available to those in the Ada community. SonRise Christian PreSchool is being established as a ministry of SonRise Evangelical Free Church in Ada, MN. The Preschool will offer a high-quality Christ-centered early education program that will come alongside families in helping their children come to know Jesus while providing a safe, nurturing environment that is conducive to the needs of the total child in a ½ day program setting, 3 mornings per week to children ages 3-5.
SonRise Pastor David Ingraham says being able to offer a Christian Preschool has long been a dream of his and with the recent acquisition of the former Faith United Church, it helped the dream become a reality.
Char Baker will be heading the SonRise Preschool Program, and along with her she brings years of early childhood education in both a public school and Christian school setting.
SonRise Christian PreSchool will provide experiences that promote the spiritual, intellectual, social/emotional, independent skill building, and physical development of the young child. The program will consist of positive and purposeful strategies designed to help children meet their individual goals. Developmentally appropriate child-centered activities, where children can be active participants in the learning process, will be at the core of the curriculum.
By providing this new option for families, SonRise intends to offer something additional to the students who attend elsewhere on their off days. Baker says it is their desire and intention to work cooperatively with the other facilities that offer PreK in our community and to compliment what families are teaching and what other providers have established.
Pastor Ingraham also notes that their new preschool offering will not only fit a need for the area, but also help their church reach more people and be more interwoven into the community.
The SonRise Christian Preschool is now accepting pre-registration for preschool age children who will be 3 years of age on or before September 1, 2022.
