Horace, ND — An area organization helping farmers and ranchers in crisis since its inception in 2005 is hoping you’ll consider donating to their cause this Giving Hearts Day. Based out of Horace, North Dakota, Farm Rescue provides planting, haying, harvesting, and livestock feeding assistance to farm and ranch families that have experienced a major injury, illness, or natural disaster. By supporting Farm Rescue, Program Manager Dan Erdmann says you give families a chance to continue their livelihood by providing the necessary equipment and manpower to get the job the done so that they can continue their farming operation for the next generation.

Farm Rescue provides assistance across seven different states in the upper Midwest, including North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. They’ve helped over 800 farm families since their first case in 2006. How many people they help each year varies from year to year, but Erdmann notes that last year was a monumental one for the Farm Rescue organization.

And whether you chose to donate on Giving Hearts Day or any other time, Erdman says Farm Rescue will always put your donation to good use.
