Ulen-Hitterdal School Board News & Notes
Ulen, MN — The Ulen-Hitterdal School Board held their regular monthly meeting this past Wednesday, July 13th and Wednesday night will be hosting another Community Information Meetings in regards to their proposed childcare facility referendum that will be on the August 9th Primary election ballot. New Ulen-Hitterdal Superintendent Dustin Flaten says they encourage the public to come out and learn more about the project.
Wednesday night’s Community Informational Meeting will be held at the Ulen Event Center at 6:30pm.
And with only a month and a half away from school returning, Superintendent Flaten is a little concerned about staffing. The school board recently accepted a few more resignations at their meeting last week is still trying to fill a few other positions.
As far as enrollment goes, Flaten says numbers look to be holding steady coming into the fall with solid numbers in the lower grades.
This month’s school board meeting was the first for Superintendent Flaten, who took over for Todd Cameron at the beginning of July. He notes that he is looking forward to reconnecting with the community.
The Ulen-Hitterdal School Board will meet next on August 17th where they will canvass the results of the August 9th Child Care referendum vote.
